When you’re putting a dog up for adoption, you’ve got to be creative. You have to capture everyone’s attention so that they will take interest in the pup. More often than not, this is a tall order.
But for a woman named Christine Clauder, it seemed that getting everyone’s attention simply required frankness and some irreverent humor. The Texas-based woman has launched a website with some sassy descriptions of the pup named Hank.
Here’s how Christine did it.
Helping Hank get adopted
Christine launched the website named Please Adopt Hank. When you go to the site, you will see Hank’s adorable photo. But the headline was somehow an anti-thesis to the dog’s smiling photo; it calls Hank a hellion.
The whole homepage was filled with sardonic and frank text, but all of it was hilarious. Hank had been described as a pup who had an always-on personality. And after his family experienced it, they became tired. The description even reasoned out that Hank seemed to have drunk the family’s coffee.
Furthermore, the website described Hank as a dog who had so much energy. The governor even got in touch with the foster family to see if he could plug Texas’ power grid into him. Of course, that was a joke.
There were even some expletives thrown here and there to get the message across. Nevertheless, the exaggeration and use of sarcasm definitely made the adoption notice truly interesting.
More about Hank
Christine said that Hank needed a home that had an active person. The next owner must be someone who could physically keep up with the dog’s exuberance. This was because the dog loved playing.
While Christine had other pets at home, they weren’t the best playmates for the hyperactive pup. For one, Christine’s cat named Dorito enjoyed Hank. However, the dog didn’t understand that Dorito wasn’t always in the mood for fun.
Also, Christine shared that Hank was just over a year old. And there was a possibility that Hank was a Siberian Black Mouth Cur.
