Meet Dal

In South Korea, a mother dog named Dal had an owner and a house to stay in. However, she kept running off somewhere. She seemed to come home only when she felt like it. Her owner had to walk around the neighborhood asking everyone she met if they had seen her dog.

When the owner finally found Dal, she put her on a leash and tied it to a pole so that she could not wander off again. She tried to feed Dal, but she refused to eat. She kept whining, so the owner untied her.

Following Dal

As soon as Dal was free, she left home again. She did not pay attention to her owner who was running after her and calling her back. The crew from Kritter Klub, a group of animal lovers, followed Dal. They were determined to find out where she had been going and what she had been up to.

They saw her go to a place where there was another dog. Unexpectedly, she ate his food while the other watched helplessly. Then Dal ran around a corner into what seemed like a dead end. When the crew got there, she was nowhere to be found.puppy, dog, pet dogs

Cameras

They were calling out for her, but she refused to come. They set up a camera because they were sure she would go back there sooner or later. Camera footage showed that she came out from under the large boulders.

What they found

The hole was too small for a human to enter, so they used an endoscope camera to see what she was doing there. To their surprise, she had puppies. When they told the owner, she was worried about Dal and her babies. They might be in danger of wild animals and the cold weather.

Volunteers came to get the puppies out. All five puppies were rescued and brought home to live with Dal’s owner. The vet came to check on the puppies’ health and found that they were all fine.

The puppies were now safe in Dal’s house, so she did not have to leave home again.
