A New York-based pizza shop is revolutionizing its pizza cover in the hopes of helping dog owners find their lost pooch. The Just Pizza and Wing Company began putting flyers of lost dogs on their pizza boxes. This is the company’s simple action in helping beleaguered owners find their missing dogs.
The pizza shop’s owner, Mary Alloy, is an animal lover. This explains why she is hell-bent on helping her fellow animal lovers find their lost dogs. According to Mary, she knows how it feels to lose a beloved pet. For her, the pain of losing a dog is unbearable. This is the reason why she wants to help these owners get a glimmer of hope that they would find their missing dogs soon.
Mary added that her gesture might be simple, but she believes this is a great help given that their pizza shop has enough traction to let people know about their advocacy. In the pizza box, Just Pizza and Wing Company puts the contact number of the owner of the missing pooch.
According to Mary, she got this idea from her friend, Kimberly LaRussa. Kimberly is a volunteer in the local animal welfare society of New York. It was Kimberly who gave her idea that her pizza shop could be an avenue for an owner to get reunited with their missing pooch.
Since she believed in the advocacy, Mary did not hesitate to say yes to her friend. Mary and her company jumpstarted this initiative last February 28. At first, the customers were clueless about what the effort was about. But when the staff explained it to the customers, they appreciated what the pizza shop was doing. Mary, meanwhile, said they would continue with this advocacy in the next few months.
