Hurricane Dorian undoubtedly caused significant damage to a large number of properties in the Bahamas. Fortunately, a group of willing volunteers went out and assisted those who were impacted by the storm. A group of Gainesville, Florida firefighters agreed to join the operation. One of their crew members had no idea he’d end up wanting to adopt a dog they rescued from a collapsing home.
The firefighters saw Hurricane Dorian’s devastation of the area. They arrived at a fallen structure and were taken aback to discover a Bulldog stuck beneath the wreckage. They collaborated to rescue the helpless creature.
Several of them assisted in lifting a collapsed wall, while another crawled beneath the rubble. They made every effort to rescue the imprisoned dog. They eventually made it to the Bulldog a few moments later.
They eventually secured the pooch after several minutes. Someone was able to capture footage of the rescue mission. It’s evident how pleased the team was when one of their members emerged from the rubble holding the dog. Additionally, the animal appeared to be really appreciative after being saved.
The dog was immediately transported to the International Fund for Animal Welfare, one of the world’s biggest charities that helps animals. There, the animal received medical aid and other required care.
One member of the rescue crew was overcome with emotion upon learning of the dog’s rescue. He is now completing the required measures to officially adopt the pooch. He is even making arrangements to bring the puppy home with him to Gainesville, Florida.
Regrettably, the team is still waiting to learn whether the dog’s owner will reclaim him. Additionally, they provided an update on the rescued pooch.
Caddy, the dog, is currently being fostered as the rescue group attempts to locate the dog’s rightful owner. If no one claims the dog, the crew stated that their Driver Operator, Rogers, would gladly accept Caddy.
